IACT

really opened my eyes about things that i've always been interested in, eg. advertising, graphics, mass communication. just after three days of exploration workshop i guess that enthusiasm burns even more flamboyantly, and i think i roughly know what i want now, just the matter of where.

day before the workshop

si dearest helped me with my awful lot of luggages and we coincidentally wore the same colour of outfit mwahahaha. talk about jodoh kan, kan. even the bag match us both. please not be in denial. =)

finally reached suetling's after a large variety of transporation, from car, to lrt, to taxi. consequences of living in a bukit.

the BEST "kon lo" pan mee! i dont know if it's halal so errrr, skip this if you want. or just focus on the half-boiled egg then you'll forget everything. =)

visited the longest night market in KL or even the whole of malaysia which was 100 million times better than petaling street's. along the street of taman connought, there was this constant reek of taufu busuk which never ceased to waft its 'aroma'. so we went for a taufu busuk search which proved futile as we still couldnt locate it even after the end of the pasar malam, then a man pointed to the BACK LANE of a restaurant.

ahhhhh~ busuk. so much for aroma.

but here's the myth: taufu busuk's busuk in the outside, wangi in the inside.

i brazened myself and took a bite under a dare, waited for the wangi; still busuk. i could've died with busuk mouth.

that's why the statement never made it to legend.

we spent the night admiring over suetling's new killer boots, as she phrased. LAWL!


day one of workshop at IACT

first day went pretty well only when it came to the advertising workshop. were assigned to strategize a way to promote malaysian products and we got APOLLO! somehow related it to a space mission and i think the short play went awesome! aint gloating. pr workshop was fabulous too, had to plan an event related to pictures of girls in swimwear and every group came up with things like lingerie fashion and auction show (my group), beach parties, product launching etc etc. while ms suhanna impressed us by giving great ideas of an event related to waterproof tampons and inner wears for women with breast cancer. I LOVE ADVERTISING! I LOVE PR! XD

the strawberries were sooo tempting that we had to buy it despite being in the state of tight budget which was eligible to declare it as poverty. haha.

day two of workshop
attended this video editing workshop by mr loooooong. haha, only double O larh. this is the i-dont-know-what-is-it-called of the song perhaps, perhaps, perhaps by cake!

my video kinda boomed cause i deleted the pictures in the computer before saving the video. alarh, the video's supposedly a christmas gift for you people, you know who you are, so sorryy.

the field trip to imaginex studio, where they produce audio.

there were four studios, namely SMOKE, RED, BLUE and VANILLA. so cool aint it!

presenting to you, the studio, VANILLA. learnt about production of audio and met a composer and two sound engineers. =)

there's NIKI CHEONG! (the one in grey) he's the editor of the column RAGE in the star newspaper. being nosey is one of the vital characteristic in becoming a journalist, i totally have that. hahaha!

we also had an ice breaking session where each group have to send one representative where both will sit opposite to each other with a large black cloth in the middle. as the cloth is being pulled down, they'll have to shout out each other's names. MY GROUP WON larh obviously and the losing group had to spell out MISISIPPI with their BUTTS!

this is suetling's sister of the same birthdate as the both of us. such coincident.

not only we share the same birthdate, we have the almost similar sepetness too!

day three of workshop

i loved day three best. so this is from the marketting workshop, were assigned to produce a NEW burger and strategize the promotion.

presenting, SQUAGER!
it's a square burger, hence. the logo's actually a last minute drawing of a square burger from the top view. XD

came up with the concept, a burger on the go, targetting office people and the busy city people. hence the wheels hahaha! RAHH, i wanna eat squager!

the marketting communication's workshop was great too! had to compare a lou yah product to a well-established product, like maggi mee vs MEE DADDY. LOL and anything whatever vs coca cola. in case you're wondering what's ANYTHING/WHATEVER, they're non carbonated and carbonated drinks which the flavour of the drink's a MYSTERY. only available at 7 eleven so grab one now and try your luck!

as for the mass comm, mr tan aka ahbeng is one hell of a joker who made me love mass comm. hahaha. here's a singaporean joke,

q: why's the driving speed limit for singapore's so low?
a: so that the singaporeans dont drive out of the country.
